Govt committed to preserving Haryana's rich culture: Saini
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today emphasised the state government’s commitment to preserving Haryana’s rich cultural heritage. Speaking at a Saint Sammelan at Dera Sidh Baba Gareeb Nath Math in Pehowa, Kurukshetra, he said Haryana has made strides in cultural preservation over the past decade.
“We are proud of our culture. The BJP government has been working to take the country forward while preserving Sanatan Dharma. A grand temple of Lord Rama has been built in Ayodhya under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has also made the dreams of our ancestors come true,” he said.
CM Saini highlighted several initiatives, including the Sant-Mahapurusha Samman and Prachar Prasar Yojana, and the Chief Minister's Tirth Darshan Yojana, which provides elderly citizens free travel to religious sites. He said, “Lord Krishna delivered the sermon of Gita in Kurukshetra, and the government is renovating religious places within the 48-kos area of Kurukshetra.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was also present, praised Haryana’s recent electoral support for the BJP, saying, “I congratulate the people of Haryana for once again electing the BJP. Pehowa is a pious land, and we are fortunate to be here. Development is meaningful when we preserve our culture. We must work together to make India a developed nation by 2047 while preserving our heritage.”
He congratulated CM Saini on his second term, adding, “When good people are elected, the results will also be good. The people of Haryana have proven that it is the land of Lord Krishna. The BJP government is working for every section, equally developing the centre and states.”
CM Yogi also urged the public to support water conservation efforts, saying, “The Haryana Government is making efforts to revive the Saraswati river. People should conserve water, practise rainwater harvesting, adopt natural farming, and plant more trees.”
