Govt approves 56 posts in Sirsa varsity
In a significant step towards improving the quality of education being provided at the state’s institutions, the Haryana Government has approved 19 teaching and 37 non-teaching positions for Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa. An official notification from the Directorate of Higher Education, Panchkula, confirmed the development on Tuesday.
Dr Rajesh Kumar Bansal, Registrar of CDLU, highlighted that the sanctioned positions were in view of the increasing number of students at the university and to help streamline the administrative tasks for colleges in Sirsa and Fatehabad affiliated with the university. The approval, granted by the Haryana Finance Department, follows a request made earlier this year by the university administration.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Ajmer Singh Malik and Registrar Dr Bansal expressed gratitude to the Governor and CDLU Chancellor, Bandaru Dattatraya, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, and Education Minister Mahipal Singh Dhanda for their support. They noted that the move was a step forward in establishing CDLU as a centre of excellence in education in the state’s remote areas.
