Conference director Prof Tajinder Sharma said to increase the participation of youngsters in the Gita conference, it was decided to bring a challenge in which the students could participate and showcase their talent and knowledge. The students would interpret the teachings of Gita according to their streams like what Gita meant to a student of law and management. Hence, for the first time a special student talent search competition namely ‘The Gita insights challenge’ would be hosted by the Institute of Law, KUK, for the UG/PG students of Kurukshetra University and affiliated colleges and institutes, he said. The challenge is open to all students of the KU and affiliated colleges. The university was expecting a maximum participation in the challenge.

In the first round of social media engagement, the students will be required to submit three to five minute videos related to the influence of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, up to November 18 to the department concerned. The videos will be uploaded on the social media channel maintained by the university. The content and the engagement of the video will be evaluated and the participants for the second round will be selected. In the second round, selected candidates will perform in interactive session with the Gita experts on November 26 and then the winners will be selected. An amount of Rs 1 lakh will be given as first prize, Rs 51,000 as second prize and Rs 21,000 as third prize. Five consolation prizes of Rs 11,000 each will also be given.
