State Public Works (B&R) and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa today chaired the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting and directed officials to resolve the complaints on priority. The minister was holding a meeting at Panchayat Bhawan in Ambala City on Monday.
Twelve complaints were listed for the meeting, of which seven were resolved while directions were issued on the remaining complaints. The officials were directed to submit reports regarding the complaints in the next meeting.
Congress Mullana MLA Pooja Chaudhry, DC Parth Gupta, SP Surinder Singh Bhoria, Municipal Commissioner Sachin Gupta, BJP district chief Mandeep Rana and several officials were present during the meeting.
During the meeting, a complainant from Rattanheri village alleged that she had bought a plot for Rs 4.80 lakh but the seller sold the plot to some other person too, and was not returning her money. The minister directed the police to take action against the seller.
In a similar matter, a complainant from Ambala City claimed that she had bought a plot for Rs 6.40 lakh but the seller didn’t give her possession. The minister directed the police to resolve the matter.
A resident of Barara alleged that a sarpanch had embezzled Rs 4 lakh meant for the construction of a Valmiki chaupal. After finding the response from the BDPO Barara unsatisfactory, the minister directed the SDM to investigate the matter.
The minister also issued directions in complaints related to waterlogging, drains, pollution control board, encroachment, liquor vend, etc.
