Four held in two NDPS cases
The Kurukshetra police on Saturday arrested four men in two separate cases under the NDPS Act and seized charas and heroin from their possession.
In the first case, the CIA-1 unit of the Kurukshetra police arrested two men and seized 400 gm charas from them.
The accused were identified as Rajbir, a resident of Kharindwa village in Kurukshetra, and Subodh, a resident of Karnal.
A police spokesperson said upon receiving information that Rajbir and Subodh were involved in the sale of charas in the area and that they were present near the Shahabad bus stand, a team of CIA-1 reached the spot and conducted search. During the checking, 400 gm charas was seized from both of them. They were nabbed and a case under the NDPS Act was registered at the Shahabad police station.
In another case, the anti-narcotic cell of the district police arrested two men in connection with the seizure of 10.51 gm heroin.
The accused were identified as Rajbir, a resident of Chhapri village in Kurukshetra and Shivraman, a resident of Ambala. They were produced in a court, which sent them to jail.
The police spokesman said the anti-narcotic cell of the district police arrested Rajbir and seized 10.51 gm heroin from his possession. Rajbir disclosed that he had brought the drugs from Shivraman of Ambala, following which he was also arrested.
