Former Palwal MLA Subhash Chaudhary (73) passed away today. Chaudhary was admitted to a private hospital in Faridabad on September 13 after suffering a brain haemorrhage. A seasoned politician, he was elected as MLA from Palwal on an Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) ticket in 2009, defeating Karan Singh Dalal. Chaudhary also contested the 2014 assembly election but later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after securing third position.

Recently, Chaudhary had expressed interest in joining the Congress party and was also vying for a party ticket in the upcoming assembly election from Palwal.
