Former MP Bishnoi, son face protest in Adampur village
Kuldeep Bishnoi, a former MP, and his son Bhavya Bishnoi, a BJP candidate faced protest from villagers in Kutiawali village of Adampur Assembly segment in Hisar district today.
According to information, a verbal duel between the Bishnoi father-son duo and protesters escalated into a confrontation, with reports of manhandling from both sides. Villagers alleged that Bishnoi supporters smashed their mobile phones while they were filming the visit.
A viral video shows Kuldeep Bishnoi arguing with villagers with Bhavya standing behind him. The villagers objected to Bhavya’s claim of bringing Rs 800 crore in grants for the Assembly segment and also claimed to have spent Rs 71 lakh on the village. Some village youths alleged neglect of their village. A confrontation ensued between the two groups, and the BJP leader’s cavalcade left the village after the incident.
However, after some time, Kuldeep Bishnoi again visited the village and held a panchayat to resolve the differences. The sources said that Kuldeep expressed regret over the confrontation and stated that the entire village was like his extended family. The sources said the police were keeping a close watch on the incidents of protests and had taken measures so that no untoward incident took place. A villager Karan Singh informed that the matter was resolved after the former MP expressed regret over the incident.
Notably, Adampur is the pocket borough of the Bishnoi family as members of the family of former chief minister late Bhajan Lal have been representing this segment since 1968.
