Five held with weapons while plotting robbery
The Gurugram police arrested five miscreants and with weapons from a park in the Sector 40 area while they were planning to commit robbery.
Three country-made pistols, four cartridges and an iron rod were seized from their possession. An FIR was registered at the Sector 40 police station.
According to the police, the team of crime unit, Sector 31, led by Sub-Inspector Amit Kumar, recieved a tip off about the accused. The team conducted a raid and arrested all five accused.
The arrested accused were identified as Akash, alias Happy, Priyanshu, Vijay, alias Gullu, Shivam Kumar and Sonu.
According to the police, four of the five accused had previous criminal records. Five cases were registered against Akash for various crimes, including robbery, assault and theft in Gurugram. Four cases were registered against Priyanshu for assault and robbery, two cases against Vijay for theft and a case of snatching was registered against Shivam
in Gurugram.
“We will take all the accused on police remand after being produced in a city court,” said a spokesperson for the Gurugram police.
