Five-day workshop on aritifical intelligence begins at NIT-Kurukshetra

A five-day workshop on ‘Machine Intelligence and Vision Algorithms (MIVA 2024)’ has been inaugurated at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Kurukshetra.

It is being organised by the Department of Computer Applications. Prof RK Sharma (acting Director, NIT-Kurukshetra) was the chief guest on the occasion.

PC Tewari, in-charge of public relations, said students from various IITs, NITs, state universities and foreign institutions were participating in the workshop. He said more than 90 participants from different parts of the country as well as foreign institutions were enrolled in it.

The main objective of the workshop is to provide lectures and practical training on real-time applications of artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision and technologies.

On the first day, the fundamentals of applications of AI with some additional topics such as vision computing and artificial perception were explored.
