Fire at 2 shops in Yamunanagar city; bags, shoes destroyed
A fire broke out in two shops situated on the GNG College Road in Yamunanagar city in which bags and shoes were gutted.
No loss of life was reported in the incident.
Narender Singh, Fire Safety Officer of Fire and Emergency Services Department, Yamunanagar, said that they got information about the fire in two shops near the GNG College around 10.45 pm last night.
He said two fire tenders were immediately sent to the spot to douse the fire.
“It took about one hour for two fire tenders to control the blaze in the shops,” said Fire Safety Officer Narender Singh.
Both shops belong to one person and there were bags and shoes in both shops.
The shops and goods kept inside the shops have suffered damage due to the fire.
A short circuit is believed to be the reason behind this fire incident.
