Farmers protest power cuts in Panjuana, seek solutions

Frustrated with prolonged power outages, residents of Rughuana Dhani in Panjuana subdivision gathered to voice their concerns. Bharatiya Kisan Ekta (BKU) president Lakhwinder Singh Aulakh joined the protest.

Aulakh visited the SDO office with their complaints; however, the SDO was absent. The farmers, upset over the power cuts, sat on the ground outside the SDO office, raising slogans against the power corporation.

Later, SDO Nishit Kumar arrived to hear their grievances. The farmers accused the SDO of mistreatment and exposed corruption within the power department. The SDO assured the protesters that a formal request would be submitted to address their problems. The protesters dispersed after the SDO’s assurance.
