The Gurugram cyber police have raided a fake call centre being run at a house in Durga Colony of Sector 39 and nabbed three persons, including the owner of the centre. The accused were duping a US national on the pretext of providing him technical support. Two laptops and a mobile phone were recovered from their possession.

The cybercrime police, the team conducted raids at the centre on Tuesday night. All of them were busy making calls in English using their headphones and working on their systems. Upon being asked, they could not show any valid OSP licence of the Department of Telecommunications or any other agreement related to their work. The police arrested the fake call centre owner, Amandeep Singh (34), and his associates Palwinder Singh (25) and Ishav Ghai (25). The accused revealed that they had duped many foreigners and the call centre had been operational since August this year. The accused duping foreign origin citizens on the pretext of providing customer care service of technical support to them.
