Many candidates who are vying for jobs of construction workers in Israel possess qualifications other than required ones like masonry, carpentry, tiling and bar-bending work. The salary of Rs 1.35 lakh per month is making them try their luck for these jobs.

Rohit of Karnal has pursued a diploma in hotel management from Singapore, but is interested in going to Israel as a construction worker despite having no practical experience in it. “Since no educational qualification and experience is required for these jobs, hence I took the skill test for the jobs just to try my luck due to the attractive salary. The salary offered in Israel are much higher than being given by hotels in the state, so I want this job,” said Rohit.

A skill test for the jobs in Israel is going on in Maharshi Dayanand University here these days.

Another candidate who works as a teacher at a private school in Yamunanagar on the condition of anonymity maintained that he was MA, B.Ed, but earning only Rs 20,000 per month in his present job, which was not sufficient to make both ends meet. “I will try to settle in Israel permanently on getting a job there. No special training is required for the bar-bending work, hence I will appear for the skill test in this category,” he added.

Ram Kumar from Jhajjar, who completed a diploma in electrical engineering last year, said that it was a good opportunity to start a career abroad if he was selected for the job.

“I am a technical hand, so should not face any difficulty in taking up the skill test,” he added.

A diploma holder in automobiles, Devender of Bhiwani, said, “Nature of work does not matter if salary is lucrative. Rs 1.35 lakh per month is a good amount for me and also no qualification and experience are required for that, hence I have come here to take a chance for labour jobs,” he added.
