Ex-MLA targets Hooda for Congress defeat
A day after the defeat of the Congress party in the Assembly elections, former two-time Congress MLA Jai Tirath Dahiya targeted former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda over the defeat of the party and also advised that he should take ‘sanyas’ from politics.
Notably, the former MLA from the Rai Constituency, Jai Tirath Dahiya, had resigned from the Congress party on September 23 after accusing the party of the irregularities in ticket distribution. Earlier, Dahiya was considered to be the close aide of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda but he was annoyed after he was denied the party ticket.
Alleging the party ignored senior and capable party leaders, Dahiya said 10 to 12 tickets had been allotted to incapable persons, who used to reach at the ‘darbar’ to mark their attendance only on the basis of money.
He said no ticket was given to any candidate of ‘Dahiya gotra’ , due to which the party had to face a big loss in Sonepat, Kharkhoda, Gohana and Rai.
Dahiya also raised a question over giving the ticket to former Speaker Kuldeep Sharma, who had lost the elections twice.
