Former minister of state and BJP leader Aseem Goel on Friday distributed jalebis in Ambala City to celebrate the BJP’s victory and formation of its government in Haryana.

Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the BJP leader also sent two boxes of jalebis to the Congress leaders.

Former Ambala City MLA Aseem Goel had got 3 quintals of jalebis for the residents of Ambala City as part of the party’s celebrations and said, “The BJP has formed government for the third time and Nayab Saini has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time. To mark our happiness, the party workers decided to celebrate by distributing jalebis in the city.”

“We have sent two boxes of jalebis to Rahul Gandhi and Bhupinder Singh Hooda, too, so that they could get the real taste of Haryana’s jalebis. Rahul wanted to set up a factory of jalebi, and hurt the businesses of traditional sweets makers who prepare fresh jalebis daily, but the people of Haryana didn’t let him fulfil his dreams. People of Haryana respect those connected to their roots, but the Congress leaders were contesting election in the air,” he added.

About Congress leader Captain Ajay Yadav resigning from the party, Aseem Goel said, “The Congress has been sidelining its leaders, who are connected to their roots, and the leaders have started leaving the party. There is factionalism in the Congress and it was evident earlier during the distribution of tickets, then for the Chief Minister’s face, and, now, for the post of the Leader of Opposition. They keep fighting for every post in the party and still, the senior leadership of the Congress is not ready to see the ground reality.”

Meanwhile, the BJP workers were seen distributing jalebis and bursting crackers to mark their happiness.

BJP district chief Mandeep Rana, said, “The people of Haryana have elected the BJP and shown their trust in the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nayab Saini. The party workers are happy and we are confident that the state will see a rapid growth under the BJP’s regime.”
