On the final day of the Assembly election campaign, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda launched a scathing attack on the BJP, highlighting various issues, including the 2017 Panchkula violence, which left 40 persons dead, and Mirchpur. Hooda accused the BJP of mishandling the situation, stating, “The Dalit community has not forgotten the Panchkula incident. Of the 40 persons killed, it is said 30 were Dalits. Despite court orders, the BJP allowed the gathering in Panchkula, and even the high court questioned the deaths caused by police firing. Yet, the BJP has no answers.”

Addressing land acquisition policies, Hooda defended Congress’ farmer-friendly approach. “During Congress rule, we ensured that farmers received fair compensation by setting a floor rate for land prices. The BJP and INLD governments looted farmers in the name of land acquisition.”
