The Gurugram police seized over 6 kg of ‘chura post’ from a suspected drug peddler on Friday. The drug was allegedly transported from Rajasthan, and the peddler was caught on a tip-off. An FIR has been registered at the Pataudi police station.

He was identified as Dalbir. “We secured a two-day police remand for the accused after presenting him in a city court,” said a spokesperson for the Gurugram police.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
