Don’t take donkey route to go abroad, CM urges youth
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today urged youngsters not to take the donkey route to go abroad as it leads them into difficult situations and they end up losing a huge amount of money.
The Chief Minister said, “A large number of youngsters are going abroad but I urge you not to take the illegal route. The donkey routes lead them into difficult situations and sometimes, they come back after spending a huge amount of money. The government has made arrangements to send youngsters abroad through proper channel and after providing appointment letters. Life gives a golden opportunity to every person and you have that opportunity in your hands because you have elected a government committed to protecting your self-respect. There was a time when youngsters had to lower their self-respect at the doors of some Chaudhris to get jobs, but now, the situation has been completely changed as jobs are being given on merit.”
He was addressing the gathering on the closing ceremony of a district-level youth festival at Kala Kriti Bhawan in Kurukshetra. He visited a science fair on the occasion and distributed rewards and certificates to the winners of the youth festival.
“The youngsters of Haryana have made their presence felt at the national and international levels. The students are securing good ranks in CBSE, NEET and JEE examinations. The sportspersons of Haryana have brought laurels at national and international levels,” CM Nayab Singh said.
The CM highlighted the achievements and policies of the BJP government and added, “Over the past 10 years, we have tried to give all facilities to the youngsters and remove all the obstacles in the fields of education, jobs, start-ups, skill education and sports. The government is developing an ecosystem to support youngsters in all sectors, including education, skill development, self-employment and going abroad. The government aims to make every youth of Haryana skilled and financially strong by 2030.”
Later in the evening, the CM held a meeting with social and religious organisations regarding preparations for International Gita Mahotsav-2024.
In his address, the CM called upon organisations to play active roles in organising the mahotsav and said, “We can’t achieve anything without the cooperation from society. The government is playing its part and it also makes provision of the budget but there are limitations. The society has no limitations. When people work unitedly, everything becomes right.”
