A former CM, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, today said that the BJP government should give up its rigid attitude and talk to farmers as their leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal had been on indefinite fast for the past 16 days, and his health was deteriorating.
Hooda said farmers were not making new demands, but were reminding the government of its own promise. “This is the same promise that the government had made to the farmers while ending the farmers' movement. The farmers want a guarantee of MSP and the demand is justified,” he said.
Instead of suppressing the voice of farmers, the government should find a solution through talks. In a democracy, everyone had the right to travel anywhere or express their views peacefully, he said.
Commenting on the bomb blast in a Gurugram club, Hooda said incidents like bombing were an indicator of deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He said the BJP government was in slumber, and criminals were committing crimes fearlessly.
