Despite exit poll results, Saini says BJP all set for hat-trick
Despite exit polls predicting a clear majority for the Congress, caretaker Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today exuded confidence that the BJP will score a hat-trick after counting of votes on October 8.
Congress will find faults with EVMS
Aath taarikh ko janta degi jawab, aur ye chilainge EVM hai kharab (On October 8, the people will elect us and the Congress will find faults wth EVMs). Nayab Singh Saini, Caretaker CM
“Aath taarikh ko janta degi jawab, aur ye chilainge EVM hai kharab (On October 8, the people will elect us and the Congress will find faults wth EVMs),” Saini said here today claiming that the saffron party would form the government with a clear majority.
Giving reasons for the BJP’s return to power, Saini claimed that welfare initiatives of the ‘double engine’ government in the last 10 years had benefitted all sections of society, especially the poorest of the poor.
While conceding that the saffron party was locked in a tough contest with other parties on certain seats, Saini, however, claimed that the BJP was certain to form the government for the third time in a row on basis of its “good performance in the last 10 years.”
Targetting Congress for its various acts of omission and commission, the caretaker CM asserted that the BJP governments at the centre and the states took various pro-people decisions benefiting all sections of society. These decisions, Saini claimed, brought about a systemic change in society leading to ease of living for Haryana residents. After the polling for the 90 Assembly segments, all exit polls predicted a comfortable majority for the Congress, indicating its return to power after 10 years.
