Deputy Speaker of Vidhan Sabha calls upon people to donate blood
Deputy Speaker of Vidhan Sabha Krishna Middha called upon the people to donate blood to save the life of others. He said, "It is also scientifically good for a healthy person to donate blood at regular intervals. Donating blood infuses new energy in the body and the body feels refreshed."
Middha was interacting with people after inaugurating the blood donation camp organised in the memory of former Deputy Chief Minister Mangal Sein at Shri Lal Nath Hindu College.
“Mangal Sein worked honestly for the benefit of the state and society throughout his life. He was a seven-time MLA. Despite this, his funeral procession departed from a rented house. Sein was a symbol of simplicity and honesty,” said Deputy Speaker, adding that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was working towards realising Sein's dreams.
He said, "Blood donation saves the lives of needy people so it is a noble act."
In reply to a question, Middha said the state government was playing its role for the welfare of all sections of society. “The society should also give its full cooperation to social work. Many schemes are being implemented by the government for public welfare while uniform development work is also being done across the state,” he added.
Former Cooperation Minister Manish Kumar Grover, BJP state Vice-President Satish Nandal, Hindu Educational Institute Principal Sudarshan Dhingra, former Principal Rajesh Sehgal, Ajay Nijhawan were also present on the occasion.
