Deprived SCs to hold event to thank CM for sub-classification
Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Krishan Kumar Bedi said people of deprived Scheduled Castes (DSCs) would hold a state-level sammelan on November 24 to express gratitude to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for implementing the sub-classification of the SCs in the state.
“The DSCs had been struggling for their rights for a long time. The classification within the SCs was done for the admissions to various courses in 2020 but it was not done in the jobs. The DSC had been demanding to execute the classification in jobs as well. The CM fulfilled this demand by approving it in the first Cabinet meeting,” said Bedi while interacting with mediapersons here today.
He informed that a state-level meeting of leaders of the DSCs over the issue was held here today and MLAs, former MLAs, ministers, former ministers, senior leaders of society, heads of social and religious organisations and saints participated in it. The outline and plan of the sammelan was discussed at the meeting. The venue for the programme had not been decided yet, but soon the venue of the conference would also be finalised, he added.
The minister said the people’s expectations had increased but the BJP government would work to fulfill their aspirations. “The BJP is a party that takes everyone along and will live up to the people’s expectations. The BJP government has a team of senior and young leaders who are working together for social service. The BJP government is working for every section by following the basic mantra of Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas,” he added.
On being asked about the Congress leader in the Vidhan Sabha, Bedi said: “We do not need to find a leader of the Congress legislative Party. The Congress leaders themselves are busy tearing each other’s clothes.”
