Demolition drive carried out at illegal colony in Yamunanagar
A team of the District Town Planner (DTP) carried out a demolition drive in an unauthorised colony situated in Ghespur village of Radaur subdivision of Yamunanagar district.
The team demolished damp proof courses and network of kachcha roads.
The colony was spread over two acres of land in the said village.
DTP Rajesh Kumar said that as per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Capt Manoj Kumar, unauthorised colonies were being demolished and action was being taken against their promoters.
He said that their team today carried out a demolition drive in a colony spread over two acres of land in Ghespur village.
“Our team demolished DPCs and a network of kachcha/mud roads in this unauthorised colony,” said DTP Rajesh Kumar.
He further said that the Tehsildar of Radaur tehsil was appointed as duty magistrate and the police force was provided by the SHO of Haryana State Enforcement Bureau.
He said that Junior Engineer Rahul of the department and field inspector Anil Kumar was also present on this occasion.
The DTP has appealed to the people of the district to not invest their money in such unauthorised colonies and to contact the DTP office before buying a plot.
“Before carrying out any construction in the controlled area, one can apply on the portal of the Town and Country Planning Department to obtain permission for land use change and if required, the District Town Planner's office can be contacted for more information on any working day,” said DTP Rajesh Kumar.
