Demanding the BJP government to fulfil its promises made during Assembly polls. Member of Parliament (MP) Deepender Hooda said the opposition would give full cooperation in getting the hopes and aspirations of the public fulfilled. Besides, it would also discharge its responsibility of highlighting public issues prominently.

Deepender was interacting with media after attending an event organised by Shri Shyam Mandir Seva Samiti and Shiv Mandir Seva Samiti in Ghillor Kalan village here.

“During the elections, the BJP made many promises like Rs 2,100 per month assistance to women, procurement of farmers' produce at MSP, regular government jobs to 2 lakh youth, employment opportunities for 5 lakh youth, providing cylinders for Rs 500. The time has come to fulfil all these promises as the people are waiting for that,” said the MP.

Putting the BJP government in the dock over farmers’ issue, Deepender claimed farmers were forced to sell their paddy produce in the mandis at a lower price, while they were struggling to get DAP fertilizer. "The situation is that DAP tokens are being distributed at police stations. Farmers are compelled to wait in queues while black marketing of fertilisers is going on rampantly," he added.

“The BJP has also forgotten the promises made to the public in its election manifesto in 2014 and 2019. It should tell the people whether the employees of Haryana are given the pay scale on the lines of Punjab, Has the farmers’ income doubled, are they getting MSP as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission, Are the youth given employment as promised, Has the promise of women's safety beenfulfilled?” he maintained.

Deepender maintained that the Congress party, as a strong opposition, would continue to build pressure on the BJP government to fulfil all its poll promises made to the people.
