The GRP launched a probe into the case after the kin of the deceased lodged a formal complaint on November 21, alleging that Aman had been killed after someone pushed him from the moving train and this should be probed as a murder case.

The complainant Anupam Maheshwari, a resident of Sector 49 in Gurugram, told the police that the family suspected foul play and it appeared to be a case of murder.
