Cyber thug lands in Nuh police net

The Nuh police have arrested a cyber thug for allegedly defrauding people by posting advertisements regarding the sale of best breed dogs on Facebook. Two SIM cards were recovered from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Arafat, a resident of Gokulpuri village near Punhana in district Nuh.

Complaints are filed against the accused from Maharashtra.

According to the police, the accused was arrested from the Hodal road on Monday.

During the search, a mobile phone with two SIM cards were recovered from his possession.

Fake Facebook and Instagram social media profiles and UPI accounts were found in his phone.

“During interrogation, the accused revealed that he had duped many people by posting advertisements on Facebook.

He was produced in a city court, which sent him to judicial custody,” said a spokesperson of the Nuh police.
