The department of youth and cultural affairs, Kurukshetra University, held its election and also the annual budget meeting 2024-25 of the KU Cultural Council on Tuesday.

Vice-Chancellor KUK, Prof Som Nath Sachdeva, said the objective of the cultural council of KU was to promote cultural values among students. In accordance with the National Education Policy 2020, Kurukshetra University was promoting club culture for the all-round development of the students and in future, the students studying in the colleges affiliated to the KU would also promote cultural development through these clubs to inculcate the spirit of leadership, strong will power, self-confidence and spirit of cooperation.

The Deputy Director, Public Relations Department, Dr Jimmy Sharma, said in the colleges affiliated to the KU, talent of the students would be enhanced through six clubs such as photography club, literary club (hindi and english), fine arts club, theatre club, music and dance club and environment club.
