Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur launched a scathing attack on the Congress, accusing it of exploiting farmers during its regime. “Congress looted farmers by purchasing their lands at throwaway prices under Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s government,” said Thakur while addressing two rallies in Gharaunda and Assandh in favour of party’s candidates Harvinder Kalyan and Yoginder Rana, respectively.

He further accused the former government of corruption, claiming large-scale land deals benefited industrialists while farmers were left empty-handed. His speeches focused heavily on Congress’ past failures, including its handling of national security and defence. Thakur highlighted that during the Congress’ rule, there were multiple terror attacks across the country, but since Narendra Modi took charge as the PM, terrorists had been eliminated through decisive actions such as surgical strikes.

Thakur emphasised the importance of re-electing the BJP for the third consecutive term in Haryana, highlighting the party’s welfare initiatives, including a promise to provide women with Rs 2,100 monthly assistance and subsidised gas cylinders at Rs 500. He also outlined the benefits of the Agnipath scheme, ensuring job security for those selected as Agniveers.

Thakur also accused the Himachal Pradesh government of failing to fulfil its election promises. “The Congress has left voters betrayed in Himachal and the same will happen in Haryana if the Congress comes to power,” he said, urging people not to fall for similar promises. He also pointed out that in Himachal, pensioners had faced delays, blaming the Congress for the state’s financial mismanagement. He assured the voters that if the BJP returned to power, it would continue the state’s progress under the “non-stop development” agenda of the Modi government.

Thakur emphasised that the BJP had consistently worked for the welfare of all religions and communities, promoting the idea of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”. He highlighted the BJP’s inclusive approach and urged the people to once again elect the party in Haryana for the third consecutive term.

Thakur expressed his confidence that the people of Haryana had made up their minds to ensure the BJP’s victory in the upcoming elections. He criticised Rahul Gandhi for allegedly spreading false facts about the Modi government during his foreign visits, particularly regarding the Sikh community.

“Stop running the factory of hatred,” Thakur warned Rahul. He appealed to the people to vote in favour of the BJP candidates.
