An outreach campaign was conducted by Santosh Beniwal, general secretary, Haryana Pradesh Mahila Congress, supporting Congress candidate Bharat Singh Beniwal at Mehnakhera on Wednesday.

She emphasised the importance of loyalty to the party, stating that while many leaders switched parties, Bharat Singh remained a steadfast soldier of the Congress. The commitment had earned him the party’s nomination, she said.

Santosh Beniwal criticised the INLD, stating that their elected representative had failed to engage with the community, only appearing during elections to solicit votes. She highlighted the disconnect between the politician and the people, asserting that constituents often felt neglected once the elections were over.

She further condemned the BJP government for its governance in the past 10 years, claiming that it had left no community untouched by its mismanagement, forcing citizens to protest for their rights. She urged the voters to choose a representative who genuinely cared for the people and remained accessible.

“Think carefully before you vote on October 5,” she urged, encouraging the residents to avoid past mistakes and select a candidate committed to his/her service. She warned while the opponents might return with sweet promises, the power of the vote should be used to hold them accountable for their past failures.
