The Congress today demanded immediate withdrawal of Agnipath scheme. The party hardened its stand today amid massive protests across Telangana, Bihar, UP, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, with Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda seeking “instant withdrawal”.

Meanwhile, AAP district president Dharambir Bhadana said the new law for recruitment of soldiers was against the interests of both youths and Indian forces. The rising unrest should be taken as a signal of its rejection by youth, he said.
