Cong promotes corruption after coming to power: Shivraj Chauhan in Haryana
Union Agriculture Minister and former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan launched a blistering attack on the Congress saying the party promoted corruption and crime whenever it came to power.
He appealed to the people to vote for the BJP for ensuring good governance and giving zero-corruption government in the state.
Chauhan was addressing a poll meeting in Bahadurgarh town on Tuesday evening to seek votes for BJP candidate Dinesh Kaushik from there.
“The Congress leaders have nothing to do with the happiness and sorrow of the people and the development of the state. They work only for the welfare of their families. That’s why forming the BJP government in Haryana for the third time is necessary for welfare of every section of society,” he added.
Accusing the Congress of spreading corruption, Chauhan said the Congress promoted 3C and 3D whenever it came to power. “3C means crime, commission and corruption while 3D refers to dealer, dalal and damaad, but the BJP has always worked for ensuring holistic development and betterment of every section of society by adopting a staunch attitude against corruption,” he added.
Taking a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party, Chauhan said the Congress and the AAP do friendship in Delhi but fight each other in Haryana. “This is not an alliance but a ‘thug bandhan’. They make alliances to serve their personal interests, not for the development and welfare of the people,” he claimed.
Describing the BJP as the biggest well-wisher of farmers, the Union minister claimed that the BJP government had lifted the ban on rice exports. “If rice goes abroad, it will increase the price of paddy and paddy farmers will get a fair price. We have abolished the minimum export price, now our basmati will go to America and Canada,” he said.
Chauhan claimed that the BJP government in Haryana was procuring 24 crops of farmers at minimum support price while the Congress misled the farmers over the MSP issue with an intention to grab their votes.
