CM Saini, new ministers take charge, promise to push development, infra, clean governance
The Haryana Secretariat was abuzz with activity today as ladoos, besan barfi, and bouquets filled the air. After a two-month hiatus, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini officially took charge, and the corridors of power came alive once again. Following his first Cabinet meeting of the new term, Saini made rounds to personally greet each newly inducted minister in their respective offices.

Khullar chief principal secy to CM
The Haryana Government has appointed retired IAS officer Rajesh Khullar as the Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister. He has been appointed in the rank of Cabinet Minister.
BJP state chief Mohan Lal Badoli, Minister Arvind Sharma, and Chief Principal Secretary to the CM, Rajesh Khullar, greeted the Chief Minister upon his arrival at the Secretariat. After chairing his first Cabinet meeting, Saini began his visits by stopping at the room of senior-most minister Anil Vij. Together, they proceeded to meet Minister Krishan Lal Panwar, before making rounds to the other ministers’ offices.
After taking charge, Vij emphasised the BJP’s efforts to eliminate corruption in employment, crediting Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for the systematic changes in governance. “We have stopped ‘parchi-kharchi’ (bribery in employment). My personal slogan is that we have worked, and we will work more. My public grievance hearings will continue, though they may take a new shape,” Vij stated.
Rao Narbir focused on the government’s commitment to the “sankalp patra” (resolution document), promising that the government will reach every citizen. “I have given the local administration a target to clean up Gurugram — of garbage and encroachments — before Diwali. We are setting a 100-day target, and I am hopeful Gurugram will be neat and clean again,” he declared.
Second-time minister Mahipal Dhanda reflected on the public’s lack of access to basic facilities before the BJP came to power. “Previous governments spoke about unemployment and industry but never considered basic needs like toilets for women. Our government has addressed these needs. Youth rejected corrupt job offers to vote for ‘no kharchi, no parchi’. We will continue to build on this foundation,” Dhanda emphasised.
Minister Arvind Sharma reiterated his commitment to pushing for Gohana’s district status. “We will fast-track development and ensure that Haryana plays a key role in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India),” Sharma said.
Rajya Sabha MP Kiran Choudhry watched her daughter, Minister Shruti Choudhry, on her first day in office with pride, calling it an emotional moment as she passed on the baton. Shruti, a former MP from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh, outlined her priorities: “Development, roads, water, women’s uplift, and rural healthcare are on our agenda. The people had lost faith in the system, but we have worked to restore it.”
Union Minister Rao Inderjit’s daughter, Minister Arti Rao, reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to its promises. “The Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, promised 24,000 jobs before taking oath, which has been fulfilled. Development of Ateli and Haryana will remain at the top of our agenda,” she said.
Minister of State Rajesh Nagar highlighted the state’s vision to align with Modi’s dream of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). “We will replicate Gujarat’s development model and create a modern Haryana. For Faridabad, we will address all the issues raised by the Resident Welfare Associations,” he stated.
