Coming out in support of Mohit Grover, Congress candidate from Gurgaon Assembly constiuency, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor asked people to vote for a revamped and transformed millennium city. Taking to his social media, Tharoor said Gurugram was in a pitiable condition and it was now on people to choose between the sad reality or change.

“I visit Gurugram often and see roads are like swimming pools, garbage dumps on every corner, potholes and what not. I feel sorry for those who spent huge amount of money to buy or rent homes here and face this crises. Elections is a time that empowers us to choose. it empowers you to choose between living with the sorry state of affairs or rising to occasion and bringing a change. The only way Gurugram can change for better is through Congress through Mohit Grover,” wrote Tharoor.

Congress candidate Mohit Grover has promised a revamped infrastructure for the Millennium City and has also released a vision document. Accusing BJP of trying to distract people with communal chants and Central projects Grover says the city years for basic infrastructure.

“How am I concerned with an expressway being built some where in Nagpur when road outside my house is potholed and water logged. Its sad that the Millennium City which contributes 70 percent of the revenue struggles for basic infrastructure. We need to have solid civic foundation and Congress not just promises that but has ready plans to do so,” says Grover in conversation with The Tribune.
