CBSE organises workshop on happy classroom for teachers

19 schools of Yamunanagar district participate

A one-day workshop on the topic 'Happy Classroom' was organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the capacity building programme at St Lawrence International School, Pabni Road, Jagadhri.

The workshop was conducted under the chairmanship of Rajni Sehgal.

The workshop was inaugurated by CBSE-nominated resource persons Seema Dutt and Rubina Naz. Educationist MK Sehgal, school Chairperson Rajni Sehgal, Principal Pooja Batra started the programme with prayers.

Nineteen schools of Yamunanagar district participated in the workshop.

Sehgal said that such workshops and seminars helped in improvement and modification of teaching skills.

Resource person Seema Dutt trained teachers to develop teaching strategies for self-regulation of emotions by explaining the importance of self-awareness. She also taught how teachers could build harmonious relationships with their students and co-teachers.

Resource person Rubina Naz told teachers could to create a happy classroom based on their experiences. She said the teachers could make students happy by being happy themselves.

She said if both the teacher and the students are happy, then the class atmosphere would automatically be positive.

Principal Pooja Batra expressed her gratitude to the participants.
