Cattle perish as fire breaks out in shed at Jhajjar village
Two heads of cattle were burnt alive inside their shed after a fire broke out at Mehandipur Dabodha village under the Bahadurgarh subdivision here on Sunday night. A car, cooler and other household items were also gutted while the exact cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot on getting the information about the incident and extinguished the flames.
Surendra of Mehandipur Daboda had set up a cattle shed on his plot located near his house in the village. He also used to park his car there.
As per reports, Surendra’s family members as usual went to their house after feeding the cattle on Sunday night. The fire suddenly broke out there at midnight. It also engulfed the cattle shed.
“When a neighbour noticed the flames coming out from the plot, he immediately informed Surendra’s family who rushed to the spot and started extinguishing the fire but all in vain. Later, the fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire but two heads of cattle were burnt by then,” said the sources.
