Meanwhile, the police, in collaboration with the Central Armed Police Forces, also organised flag marches in different parts of the district to instill faith in the conduct of free and fair elections. CRPF,

SSB, ITBP and RPF personnel took part in flag marches that were taken out at Farmana, Ningana and Gudhan villages and Kalanaur town, besides areas under Bahu Akbarpur, Sampla, Meham, Sadar, IMT and Lakhan Majra police stations.

The flag marches especially covered sensitive and hyper-sensitive booths, markets, streets and villages. Police officers appealed to residents to maintain law and order.

The residents were cautioned that strict action would be taken against those who tried to influence the elections through unfair means.

The district police authorities maintained that no person would be allowed to take the law into their own hands and strict legal action would be taken against those who disobeyed the law.

For any kind of police assistance or other emergency, the residents can dial helpline number 112.
