The Department of Computer Science of RKSD College, Kaithal, organised a presentation competition on emerging technologies idea and technical skills. Conveners Prof Shivani and Prof Priyanka welcomed the guests. Principal Sanjay Goyal shared his insights on the importance of artificial intelligence technologies. Head of Computer Department Matish Garg shared his views on latest technologies and importance of communication skills. Students of BCA presented their topics on AI technologies and tools, quantum computing and nanotechnologies.

‘Design your destiny’ talk held

Kurukshetra: Thought Lab at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, organised a special talk titled “Design your destiny”. The event’s chief guest, Dean of Student Welfare, Professor Dikshit Garg, delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting how spirituality supports not only personal development but also career advancement, aligning with the institute’s mission. He emphasised the importance of the "each one, teach one" concept and explained that under the new National Education Policy, the Thought Lab has been introduced to enhance students’ emotional well-being and regain lost happiness. The keynote speaker, Dr EV Swaminathan, a renowned life coach and counsellor, shared insights from his 16 years of teaching experience in engineering and management, as well as 20 years of corporate training experience with prominent organisations like Tata Motors, ONGC, IITs, and NITs. Dr Swaminathan began by commending the Thought Lab and encouraged students to dream big and transform negative thoughts into positive ones. He introduced the concept of the 6 M's — men, material, money, machinery, methodology, and mind — essential in corporate resource management.

Campus placement drive

Sonepat: The process of placement of BTech final year students has begun at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal. Under the placement process, 18 final year students have been selected by various companies through campus placement. Selected students will get an annual package of up to Rs 6 lakh. Vice-Chancellor Prakash Singh said the university students will have to prepare themselves in such a way that they can provide employment to others. Students should focus on entrepreneurship instead of running after employment themselves, he added. VC Singh said the campus placement drive was organised by the Training and Placement Cell of the university. Arnav Verma, Dhruv Sachdeva, Divyanshu Singh, Gaurav, Lalit Jain, Mayank Sharma, Saurav Singh and Basant from the Chemical Engineering Department have been selected by Nectar Life Science Company. He said Adarsh Saini, Bharat, Dheeraj Tahlan, Janhvi Singhal, Surabhi, Meghna Verma of Electrical Engineering and Khushi Pandey and Nikhil of Mechanical Engineering have been selected by VE Commercial Vehicles Limited Company.
