Campus notes: Varinder Gandhi enlisted member of NAAC peer team
Yamunanagar: The Director of Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamunanagar, Varinder Gandhi, has been enlisted as a member of NAAC peer team that assesses and accredits higher education institutions in India. She held the post of principal of the college for more than a decade. The college has been achieving various feats under her guidance. She visited Changu Kana Thakur Arts, Commerce and Science College, New Panvel (autonomous), Maharashtra, as peer team member of NAAC on December 2 and 3. The college management's general secretary, Manoranjan Singh Sawhney, congratulated her for her achievement. The college principal, Narinder Pal Kaur, and other staff members celebrated her achievement by giving her a floral welcome.
RKSD College celebrates founders’ day with zeal
Kaithal: The RKSD College, Kaithal, celebrated its founders' day with immense enthusiasm. Its president Ashwani Shorewale, principal Sanjay Goyal, office-bearers and members of the Rashtriya Vidya Smiti and governing body of the college took part in the hawan ceremony. The principal addressed the gathering and spoke about the founders, Seth Makhan Lal and other prominent members of society, who established the institution in 1953 and laid its foundation stone in 1954. He briefed the audience on the college's academic developments, including the upcoming launch of a nursing college, new courses such as Master's in History and additional units in Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) and cyber crime. President Ashwani Shorewale expressed his gratitude to the previous management for laying the foundation for the college's success. He pledged to continue striving for excellence and introducing beneficial courses for the students and society. The ceremony concluded with floral tributes to the statue of Seth Makhan Lal.
CUH engineering student secures placement
Mahendergarh: Aditya Kumar, student from the Department of Electrical Engineering (Batch 2020-24) at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, has been placed at Schneider Electric as an Electrical Design Engineer. Under this role, Aditya will support North American operations, marking a significant milestone in his career. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Haryana, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Aditya. The Director of the Training and Placement Cell, Prof Akash Saxena, said Aditya served as a student placement coordinator and held the prestigious position of the Chair of the IEEE Industrial Applications Society and Sensors Council Student Branch Chapter, actively fostering innovation and collaboration within the university. Additionally, Aditya was a Gold Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador, the highest milestone in Microsoft’s global student community.
