Campus notes: Student brings laurels to college
Kaithal: Mukesh, a student of RKSD College, Kaithal, brought laurels to the institution by securing first and third positions in various national-level competitions organised by Hindu Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jind, under the guidance of the Commerce Department. Mukesh won the first prize in ‘Logo Making’ and third prize in ‘Ad Making’, for which he received a cash award of Rs 1,100. Principal Sanjay Goyal appreciated the efforts of the Commerce Department and said that participating in such events provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talent. He congratulated Mukesh on his achievement and presented him a certificate.
Officiating head takes charge
Yamunanagar: Narinder Pal Kaur assumed charge as officiating Principal of Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamunanagar. She joined the college on November 2, 1989. She was working as Associate Professor in the Department of Physics. General Secretary MS Sawhney extended his best wishes to her. “We are confident that her vision, guidance and commitment to academic excellence will inspire our students, faculty and staff to reach new heights,” said Director Varinder Gandhi. Faculty and staff also extended their good wishes to her for a successful and fulfilling tenure.
