Campus notes: Simranjit Kaur secures 3rd position

Simranjit Kaur, a student of Indira Gandhi (PG) Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kaithal, made the college proud by securing the third position in a state-level online essay writing competition. Aarti Garg, college principal, said that the competition was organised by the English Department, Political Science Department, Youth Red Cross Cell, Legal Literacy Cell and Important Day Celebration Committee of Guru Brahmanand Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Anjanthali, Karnal. She said Simranjit, a student of BA-III of IG College displayed her talent by securing the third position, a certificate and ?200 cash prize. Ram Bahadur Khurania, president of the governing body, honoured the student by giving her a prize and motivated her to participate in other similar competitions. On the occasion, the Principal Incharge, Evening College, Shweta Tanwar and staff members Alka Goel, Sapna, Aruna and Shagun were also present.

Freshers’ party organised

Yamunanagar: Ch Devi Lal College of Ayurveda, Jagadhri, organised a freshers’ party by the first prof senior for the prof junior BAMS students. The programme was inaugurated by lighting a lamp by Akash Chawla, general secretary of the institution, Manish Trivedi, administrator, Basant Kumar, Principal BAMS, Vinod Pundir, Principal, Education College, Sandeep Sharma and others. The programme started with Sarswati and Dhanwantri Vandana. Students performed group dance and solo dance and recited poems on the occasion. The Principal appreciated the talent in students and thanked the organisers of the programme. The ‘Mr Fresher’ title was won by Adarsh and the ‘Miss Fresher’ title was won by Poorva, ‘Mr Personality’ was won by Ashish and ‘Miss Personality’ by Tanishq, ‘Mr Eve’ was won by Ayush and ‘Miss Eve’ by Avni.
