Kaithal: The NCC units of RKSD College celebrated the 76th NCC Day with a cultural programme ‘mera desh, meri shan’. The chief guest Capt RP Moun highlighted the significance of the NCC Day emphasising its role in shaping the youth of today. The event featured a series of competitions, including drill, solo dance, solo song, group dance on patriotic songs, and declamation on subjects related to national worth. Cadets Aashish, Nitish Kumar, Himanshu, Shiwani, Paramjeet, and many others participated with zeal, winning prizes for their outstanding performances. Officiating Principal Satyabir Mehla motivated the cadets to uphold discipline and integrity, stressing the importance of NCC in nurturing responsible citizens.

Anti-ragging seminar organised

Yamunanagar: DAV Dental College, Yamunanagar, conducted an anti-ragging seminar-cum-sensitisation and orientation lecture series to the newly admitted students of the BDS batch. The senior representative and member DCI Prof Sanjay Singh, HOD, Jamia Milia Delhi, Dr Rajat Gulia DSP Ambala, and the team of the anti-ragging committee and AR squad leader advocate Pramod Gupta highlighted the importance of the topic. Principal of the college Prof Dr IK Pandit inaugurated the one-day dental council initiative seminar and said the college had been maintaining zero tolerance to the ragging menace and there had not been any instance of ragging since the inception of the college.

Students shine at youth festival

Yamunanagar: Students of Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic, Damla, made the institute proud by excelling in the district Youth Festival 2024 held at DAV Girls College and ITI, Yamunanagar. Their exceptional talent and dedication earned them seven prizes in various categories, showcasing their brilliance across technical, artistic and cultural domains. In the science mela, students secured the first prize for an AI-based project and the second prize for a robotics-based project. In the photography event, they won the second prize and the third prize. In the poetry writing event, our students won the second prize. In the cultural segment, the students achieved the second prize in the group folk dance and the third prize in the solo folk dance with a solo song. Principal Anil Budhiraja congratulated all the winners for their remarkable achievements and said their hard work, dedication, and creativity had brought glory to the institute.
