Yamunanagar: The English literary society of Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar, organised ‘Literary treasure hunt contest’ on September 28 in the college campus. The aim of the activity was to inculcate the spirit of teamwork among students as well as enhancing their aptitude for literature and language. Four teams of 11 members each participated in the contest. The winning team was given certificates and prizes. Anil Dhawan, officiating principal of the college, congratulated the participants and the department of English for the successful organisation of the activities.

Movie day at IGN College

Kurukshetra: A short film based on the biography of great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan was shown at Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, by the department of mathematics and physics. Paying tribute to the great mathematician, college principal Kushal Pal said his name is taken with great respect and honour all over the world. Motivating the students not to be afraid of the subject, he said mathematics was very simple if practiced. He said through mathematics, one could find the answers in the question itself, adding that it was is used in every field, hence mathematics had an important contribution in the progress of the country.

Cricket kit, sticks donated

Rohtak: Under the aegis of inner wheel club of Rohtak Bloomingdale, Priyanka Mongia and Monika donated a cricket kit, 20 sticks and ration material to the inmates of the Blind School near John Wesley School. The school authorities and inmates appreciated the noble gesture.
