The Combine Annual Training Camp of 14 Haryana Battalion NCC, Yamunanagar, hosted a lecture on "Career Opportunities in Armed Forces" by Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Ambala, at Bilaspur in YamunaNagar. The lecture aimed at inspiring and informing 420 participating cadets from six schools and 12 colleges about the diverse career paths available in the Army. The training camp, conducted under the guidance of Group Commander Brigadier Vikas Rai Shandilya, featured a team of experienced instructors, including ANOs: Major Geeta Sharma, Captain Nirmal Saini, Lieutenant Mandeep, Third Officers: Sanjeev Nagra, Rahul Gautam, Pratibha (7 Haryana Battalion) CTO Deepa Rani, GCI Anjali (1 Haryana Battalion) and Subedar Major Shehnaz Hussain. Col Jarnail Singh and Col Jitender Singh Dahiya supervised over the training. The Combine Annual Training Camp focused on developing discipline, teamwork and leadership skills among the cadets. Cadets were trained in drill, map reading, weapon training and physical exercises, which were required in Armed Forces.

Poster, slogan exhibition

Karnal: A special poster and slogan exhibition aimed at raising awareness against substance abuse was organised at Dyal Singh College by the college's drugs and tobacco control cell and both units of the National Service Scheme (NSS). The event saw enthusiastic participation by students, who observed inspiring posters and slogans highlighting the harmful effects of drug addiction. The event's chief guest was Principal Dr Ashima Gakhar. In her address, she encouraged students to stay away from drugs and tobacco, shedding light on their detrimental effects. She emphasised that the consumption of substances such as drugs and tobacco not only harmed individual health but also posed a challenge to society.
