Rohtak: On the eve of Diwali vacation, Maharshi Dayanand University''s Journalism and Mass Communication Department celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm. Emphasising on the inspirational message "Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya" (from darkness to light), clay lamps were lit in the department. Head of the department, Professor Harish Kumar, extended Diwali greetings and highlighted the significance of the festival, saying that the lamp of knowledge dispels the darkness of ignorance. Assistant Professor Sunit Mukherjee greeted everyone. Assistant Professor Dr Naveen Kumar shared different ways Diwali was celebrated across various religions, communities and societies in India, emphasising the importance of inclusive culture. Research scholar Priya presented a poetic recitation, "Hai Andheri Raat Par Diya Jalana Kab Mana Hai" (Is lighting a lamp forbidden on a dark night?). Students Monika and Vansh anchored the event. The students showcased their talent through songs, music, dance and shared their thoughts. 36 students get placements

Yamunanagar: A campus placement drive of unthinkable solutions, Gurugram and Nectar Life Sciences, Derabassi, was organised at Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic, Damla, by Amandeep Singh Gulati, training and placement officer. As many as 33 students of chemical engineering and one student of electrical engineering got selected in Nectar life Science. Two students of computer engineering got selected in Unthinkable Solutions under the WLP plan wherein the students will be doing BTech sponsored by the company along with the job. Principal Anil Kumar congratulated the students and said the campus placement drives for the students passing out in May 2025 had started and the institute was working hard in providing placement to all students in the companies of repute.
