Campus notes: Board of School Education Haryana signs pact to boost education
Bhiwani: Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Educational Initiatives Private Limited, Ahmedabad, to bring about qualitative improvement in the education sector and strengthen the examination system in the state. BSEH Chairman VP Yadav said the MoU had been signed to train teachers in government/private schools so that they could teach students in a more effective manner and make the examinations child-centric that would be based on actual knowledge and understanding of the students. He said as a result of this agreement, emphasis would be laid on competency-testing questions in the board examinations. The aim of the board's curriculum and examination system was to create an environment for students where they would be able to learn life skills along with studying, he added.
Guru Nanak College's NCC cadets to take part in Thal Sainik Camp
Yamunanagar: Two NCC cadets of Guru Nanak Khalsa College have been selected to participate in the All India Thal Sainik Camp at New Delhi. Representing Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh, the cadets have demonstrated exceptional skills and commitment to be chosen for this esteemed camp. Cadets Priyanshu and Shanky have been selected for the camp. Principal Harinder Singh Kang expressed his pride in the cadets’ achievement, stating, “We are immensely proud of our cadets’ selection for the All India Thal Sainik Camp. Colonel Jarnail Singh, Commanding Officer, and Col Jitender Singh, Administrative Officer of the NCC Battalion, congratulated the cadets and highlighted that their selection was a testament to their discipline and dedication.
JCD students get top ranks in exams
Sirsa: Forty four students of JCD Memorial College, affiliated to Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), have made it to the top 10 ranking list of the university examinations. Among these, four students have secured the top positions in their respective departments, while five others have got the second place. Param, a student in the BCom (sixth semester), Nancy of BCom (fourth semester), Gurkirat of BCom (second year) and Gungun of BCA (fourth semester) achieved the first rank in their fields. JCD Vidyapeeth Deputy Director General Dr Jai Prakash expressed his satisfaction with the notable achievement. He extended his congratulations to the students for their dedication and hard work, which have led them to the pinnacle of academic success.
