Campus notes: 3-Day training programme at CUH
Mahendergarh: The Department of Sociology, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, is organised a three-day training programme on the theme ‘Social Defence: Strengthening Policy and Practice to Protect Vulnerable Populations’. The event was organised by the Department of Sociology, CUH, in collaboration with the Department of Psychosocial support in Disaster Management, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences. The objectives of the programme were to enhance the understanding of social defence issues and possible ways of their analysis and further implementation. The programme was inaugurated by Prof Deepti Dharmani, Vice-Chancellor Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani, and Prof Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, CUH.
Resume writing workshop
Karnal:The Commerce Association, in collaboration with Career Guidance and Placement Committee of Dyal Singh College, Karnal, organised a career guidance session on “Resume Writing and Interview Skills” on the college premises. The session commenced with an introduction by Commerce Association president Dr Vandana and SL Arora (In-charge Career Guidance and Placement Committee).They highlighted the importance of the session to enhance employability skills. Dr Vandana welcomed the key speaker, Dr Shalini Khandelwal, faculty member from ICFAI Business School, Gurgaon. The session was a resounding success, as it aimed to equip students with practical knowledge of resume writing to enhance their job application and interview performance.
Lecture on professional persona
Kurukshetra: An extension lecture on the topic “Preparing for Professional Persona” was organised by Tejaswini Alumni Association of the college under the guidance of convener Dr Suman Rajan. The Principal, Dr Upasana Ahuja, welcomed and introduced Twinkle Gulati, an alumna of Commerce Department. The Principal welcomed the chief speaker and addressed the students and apprised them of the true meaning of the alumni association. As many as 103 students attended the extension lecture.
