INLD, BSP announce alliance for Haryana Assembly election

Chandigarh, July 11

Announcing a tie-up between the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in the upcoming assembly election in Haryana, INLD secretary general Abhay Singh Chautala and BSP national coordinator Akash Anand said the alliance would explore joining hands with other like-minded social and political outfits.

The INLD-BSP alliance’s CM face will be Abhay Chautala.

Saying that the INLD would contest 53 seats of the total 90 while the BSP would fight on the remaining 37, the two leaders highlighted the main points of a joint manifesto.

It included doing away with the contractual employment and offering permanent jobs, setting up solar plants and panels across the state that so that nobody has to pay more than Rs 500 as electricity bill. The joint manifesto also promises free water, old-age pension of Rs 7,500 per month, Rs 21,000 unemployment allowance to the youth, one employed person in every house, and a free gas cylinder.

Clearing the backlog of SC jobs, 100-yard plots to SC families, free coaching for competitive exams to SC students, free education up to Class 10 for SC and BC students, increase in quota of SC and BC students in MBBS and the rollback of mandatory bond for the general category was also promised.
