BJP's win in Haryana expression of people's trust: Dattatraya in Governor's Address
Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya on Wednesday said the BJP-led dispensation received a “historic and decisive” mandate in the Assembly polls which is an expression of the people's trust in the existing policies and programmes of the government.
Addressing the newly elected members of the House on the first day of the Haryana Assembly's winter session here, the Governor appreciated the state government for “carrying forward a mission of service, security, good governance, cooperation and uplifting of the Antyodaya”.
He said the BJP's win in the election indicates that the people support a corruption-free, transparent administration and inclusive development.
The Governor said that the 2024 election was based on the public trust over government's intent and integrity.
Terming the mandate as “historic”, he said a third consecutive term had been given to the government for the first time.
The Governor reiterated his government's commitment to securing its share in the Ravi and Beas rivers and also completion of the SYL canal.
Emphasizing that the government would promote crops requiring less water, he said that stricter laws would be enacted to check the challenges from fake seeds, fertilizers and pesticides.
Highlighting that the government fulfilled its pre-election promise of giving 26,000 jobs to youth, he said that the government is committed of giving employment to every former Agniveer.
Stating that sports infrastructure would be upgraded, the Governor appreciated the performance of the sportspersons for winning medals at the Paris Olympics.
