Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar claimed that the BJP was set to form the government for the third consecutive time in Haryana, making it the first party in the state’s history to achieve this milestone. “For the first time in Haryana’s 58-year history, the BJP is going to score a hat-trick in Haryana and it will be a record,” said Khattar, while interacting with mediapersons at the party’s district office, Karna Kamal, where he interacted with party leaders and workers.

On being asked about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement on unemployment and illegal migration of youth abroad, Khattar said it was a long-standing concern. He emphasised that the BJP had always opposed illegal routes for the youth going abroad and made provisions for legal migration. “We have already sent 250 youth abroad through legal channels and we will continue to help our youth become skilled for overseas opportunities. Our Ministry of External Affairs is actively involved in ensuring this,” he said.

He further condemned illegal immigration, calling it “inappropriate.” Regarding the Congress’s promise of two lakh jobs to the youth, Khttar said, “The Congress is including vacancies created after retirements and other factors. In reality, only 1.25 lakh jobs got vacant due to retirements. They are counting old figures to make their claims.” When asked about the joint appearance of Congress leaders Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja on the same stage, Khattar said, “If they come together genuinely from the heart, then it is worth discussing.”
