‘BJP has no achievement to show, failed on all fronts’
Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the BJP government in Haryana had failed on all fronts and it had no achievements to show.
While addressing a rally in support of party’s Mullana candidate Puja Chaudhry, former CM Hooda, said, “The BJP has not fulfilled even a single election promise so far, whereas the Congress, fulfills every promise it makes. The law and order situation has deteriorated in the state and every day we hear about ransom calls, robbery, murder and rapes.”
“The Congress government had given about four lakh plots of 100 yards each to the poor and three lakh more were to be given, but the BJP stopped this scheme as soon as it came to power. There was a scam by the BJP in the scholarship of poor students. After coming to power, the Congress government will again start giving plots of 100 yards and also build a two-room house on the plot. The BJP is suffering from anti-constitution and anti-reservation mindset and ate away reservations of the SCs and OBCs by becoming a contractor itself. But now, the time has come to curb this anti-constitutional policy of the BJP. This time the public has made up its mind to oust the BJP from power, he added.
He promised the farmers that the Congress government would give the legal guarantee of the MSP, and said, “The paddy crop is lying in the grain markets, but the procurement has yet to begun. The farmers are being harassed in the name of ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal. The Congress government had ended the contractual system but the BJP government itself started operating as a contractor. The Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam has become a hub of corruption and jobs are sold like items at a grocery shop. When the Congress government is formed, the employees of Kaushal Nigam will be regularised, and they will be given proper salary. In future, the system of merit and reservation will be fully implemented in every government recruitment.”
Ambala MP Varun Mullana also addressed the gathering and said the BJP government erected walls on the road to suppress the voice of the farmers.
“Employees and sarpanches were lathicharged, but the BJP could not suppress their voice. In a democracy, no one’s voice can be suppressed, but the BJP does not believe in the Constitution. The BJP even got the dug-up Dadupur canal closed. Now, the time has come to uproot this dictatorial government,” he stated.
Later Bhupinder Singh Hooda also addressed gatherings in support of Ladwa candidate Mewa Singh in Kurukshetra and called on the public to vote for the Congress candidate and form a government in Haryana.
